Beginning in 2002, the annual MSIA Training Conference has been held at the State’s centrally located Lake of the Ozarks. First at the Grand Glaize Inn and in 2012 at Country Club Hotel & Spa. The 2016 MSIA Training Conference was hosted at the Inn at Grand Glaize. The 2019 MSIA Annual Training Conference was held at The Lodge at Old Kinderhook.
The 2020 training conference will be held at the Castle Rock Resort in Branson, Mo.
Although Lake of the Ozarks is only 75 years old, the area is rich in history. The Osage Indians first settled the Ozark hills, but Lewis and Clark were the first to describe the natural wonders of the Ozark Mountains. Civil War, westward expansion, and railroads all helped develop this area, long before the Osage River was dammed.
