Dear Prospective Vendor,
On behalf of the Missouri State Investigators Association, I would like to offer you the opportunity to meet the attendees of our annual training conference. You are invited to the MSIA vendor area during our 2010 training conference. The conference will be held on May 24-27, 2011 at the Inn at Grand Glaize, Osage Beach, MO. An area has been designated near the classrooms for exhibitors to visit with the attendees. Conference attendees have shown interest in visiting with the exhibitors before, between and after classes and during breaks. Although the vendor area closing time is scheduled for 6:00 PM, you may remain until 9:00 PM at no extra cost, if interested.
The MSIA is a membership of investigative professionals from various state, federal and local agencies throughout Missouri. MSIA is organized exclusively for educational, fraternal and professional purposes. It promotes the free exchange of inter-agency information necessary to effectively carry out the work of association members. It also provides continuing educational opportunities for governmental personnel engaged in investigative work and enhances the status of investigative work as a profession. Cost is $100.00 for all four days. This fee includes 2 company representatives. Additional representatives are $25.00 per person for all four days. Because of the extremely low rate, we are not offering a discount for exhibits that will not be present for the entire time of the conference. Make checks payable to Missouri State Investigators Association. A receipt and confirmation email will be sent and a handwritten receipt will be available for pick up at vendor check in.
The MSIA is looking for prizes for our raffle during the Banquet on Thursday evening. This option will cut the cost of your registration in half. Vendors wishing to give a product to be raffled may do so as long as the value of the prize is at least half of your registration cost. Registration and payment would be $50 plus an item valued at $50. This does not apply to the $20 charge of additional representatives or tables. Raffle items may be dropped off when you check in at the conference and we will attach your information or business card to it.
Don't miss out on this great opportunity to get your company name and product out to the attendees. During the banquet, I will give a brief description of your company and merchandise or service you provide prior to giving away your item. We welcome vendors who sell merchandise to give one of your products as a prize. If you do not sell a product (such as you offer a service), you may still take advantage of this offer with an item you purchase, such as a gift card, or a product purchased from a vendor. The options for raffle prizes are limitless.
All exhibit spaces will include a draped table (6' x 30") and 2 chairs. Wireless internet is provided by the hotel. If you have pop up, free standing or table top displays, banners, etc you may display them at no extra cost, however the hotel prohibits items attached to walls. These displays must be no larger than the size of the table. If you need extra tables, they may be obtained for $25 per table.
Vendors may stay in the Inn at Grand Glaize at a reduced rate or a different hotel of their choice. From Jefferson City, take Hwy. 54 south to Lake of the Ozarks, cross the Grand Glaize Bridge, the hotel entrance is at the top of the hill on the left (East) side of the road. The hotel address is 5142 Hwy. 54, Osage Beach, Missouri. Call the hotel at (800) 348-4731 for reservations and ask for the MSIA rate. The room rate is guaranteed until April 23rd for $67.00. You may still make reservations after that date, subject to availability. Reservations need to be made through the hotel, NOT the MSIA. For further hotel information, check www.innatgrandglaize.com.
Meal tickets are available for purchase in advance or at check in. Vendors are encouraged to purchase tickets to increase contact time with conference attendees. Pre-purchased tickets will be placed in the vendor envelopes to be picked up at check in. Meal tickets are available for $13.50 for lunch on Wednesday, $15.00 for lunch on Thursday and $32.00 for the banquet Thursday night. The hotel is providing a continental breakfast and the hotel has a full service restaurant.
This is more than just an opportunity to show what you sell, hand out literature and taking sales orders. We would love to have your products on your table for attendees to buy on the spot. If you sell law enforcement equipment, safety equipment, handcuffs and keys, boots, knives, CSI supplies, clothing, boots, tactical gear, K9 equipment, computer software and anything else that a police officer or investigator may want or need. If you are getting this prospectus, we want you at our conference. Don't forget your business cards, too.
All exhibitors are invited to attend the hospitality room each evening to network with the attendees and other vendors. Also, for those not familiar with the Lake of the Ozarks, the area offers countless numbers of activities and entertainment.
No refunds will be given for Exhibit registration if not cancelled prior to May 14th, 2011. All requests for refund must be made in writing.
The MSIA will make every attempt to keep non conference individuals from the classroom and vendor areas but the exhibit area cannot be fully secured by the MSIA or The Inn at Grand Glaize. Exhibitors are advised to use caution when leaving merchandise unattended in the exhibit area. Neither the hotel nor the MSIA will accept responsibility for theft, accident or damage. The MSIA will provide a locked room for overnight storage of materials and products.

In closing, don't miss out on this inexpensive opportunity for sales and advertising. The MSIA was established over 20 years ago and is growing every year. This year, we are conducting an aggressive membership drive and marketing campaign for our vendors' area. Some conferences charge hundreds to a few thousand dollars for a vendor area that is only a few hours long for a day or two. With the MSIA, you have two full days and two half days at a fraction of the cost. Where else can you make sales, take orders, eat and socialize, all while networking and advertising for this cost?
